Meditation
"The mind is the lord of the indriyas [sense organs],
and prana [the breath] is the lord of the mind."
--Hatha Yoga Pradipika,
an ancient yogic text
Meditation is one of the greatest gifts we have access to, anytime and anywhere, for anyone of any age. It has so many physical and emotional benefits that lots of scientific research has been conducted on its effects.
If you experience psychic phenomena regularly, it is especially important for you to meditate, as it could get overwhelming sometimes. You may greatly benefit from the focus, clarity and peace that meditation brings.
I'll be adding more information to this webpage from a variety of perspectives, along with resources to support your practice, so please check back often!

Make Your Own Meditation Cushions

I made my own meditation cushions, and thought I'd share my how-to's so you could make your own, too. It saves money, but more importantly it gives an increased sense of commitment to meditation, after having invested one's efforts in this delightful way! The best thing you could do, however, is commit to a regular practice ....cushions or no cushions. (:

Recently, I attended a 10-day silent meditation retreat, and found that a small, wooden meditation bench is even more comfortable than the cushion! I loved how it supported my lower back by helping me sit in a good posture. Now, my next project is constructing a meditation bench similar to this one. Stay tuned for the results of this adventure!
